Hi, my name is Rachel Mojica, but it hasn’t been that for long. Recently married, I have had the privilege of endeavoring the challenging yet beautiful journey of medical school with my best friend and partner. I grew up in Texas but went to school in Kentucky. The beautiful Appalachia captured my heart, and I am so thankful that I am back to study medicine and hopefully eventually serve in such an underserved region.
Many people choose osteopathic medicine as a consequence of last resort, however, that is not story. I chose osteopathy because I desired to see and treat the whole person to the uttermost. This route has not disappointed. Passion for the art and science of osteopathic manipulations has found fertile soil in my heart as evinced by my election to President of LMU-DCOM Harrogate’s SAAO chapter.
It is my heart to see people healed, whole, and living the life they were created to live in imago Dei.
